Why does my DC no longer play backups???
I have a DC I recently just bought used. It would play backups at first no problem. Now it gets to the spinning cd screen and that's it. I can put in an original game and it will work. This one was made in August of 99. I also have another DC console made in September of 2000, but I do not have any problems w/ it. PLZ help , one of these consoles is for my sister's b-day.

Welcome to my world. There is generally a time span before a backed up game just stops working on my DC. Play for like 15 minutes, sometimes 30 if I'm lucky, then it just locks up.
Not sure if it's due to the aging of the machine or if it's overheating. Mine shouldn't be overheating, it constantly has a A/C vent blowing 71 degrees of cool air into it, the vent is less than 7 inches from the DC. You can go to the link below, and buy A) A replacement DC or B) Replacement parts for the DC and rebuild it yourself. http://www3.goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad/d-main.htm ~The Masked M0M0~
