@Don Karl
Please dont Bump! Read Rule #8
If you cannot get the crack to work then you will just have to use the original DVD to play.

1. Install the game from the original DVD
2. Either Update the game or dont update the game.
3. Use the original disc to play.

If you then have a problem you will need to contact the game publishers!

DTM Race Driver 2

Yes, you can say so. The "StarForce 3"-version, that this game uses is quite strong! I also play the game (on version 1.2) and I have to use my original DVD for playing.

There is one possibility to play the game with an IMAGE in a Virtual Drive, but the CD-/DVD-ROM-DRIVES have to be disconnected for that! Or they can also just be disabled by using "StarForce Nightmare 1.12". But I never tested this program, so don't ask for details!

@ glenbo

So you have used "StarForce Nightmare 1.12"? What do you mean with: "It messed my DVD RW drive up!"? So your DVD-drive doesn't work correctly anymore or what? Did you reached to play the game with an image without having to put the ORIGINAL-DVD in drive or not???

no i had to re-flash my dvd r/w,after i used it,as it kept spitting out bad burns (lost a 2 whole packs of dvd's that worked fine before).
that worked..but i thought i would reformat any way..and the first thing i installed was this game(yes i own it,before anybody asks,it cost me £19.99 from game station),and the starf*ck software as i suspected it was the problem.
and low and behold, same thing happend again.
but this time i had to reflash 1 and chuck the other in the bin,as it refused to re-flash.(not hacked firmware..it was legit)
so i gave up with it until a good crack came out.
and now i am dubious of any of these little programs like anti-blaxx,any starforce proggys,tetris..im worried i might lose another drive over it.

just something to think by before using it lol!

also, unless you were wandering i did not have a boot sector virus or any other nasty's i check reguarly.
and yes i did have the correct aspi drivers etc.

ps:the game did work lol,but its not worth the damages imo.
this might be just my drives, who knows? i have read elsewhere that star force can do this to your drives, but i think its ppl just hiding the fact that they have attempted to crack the game(on forums were they do not discuss backups),as i have a couple of sf games and have no problems now.
and as it was the only thing in my pc,that my motherboard drivers and my ati drivers,it could only be that imo.

So I'll better NOT use this program, I think! I had downloaded it some months ago, but it looked a bit too complicated for me and I also don't have a presentiment of enabling/disabling CD-/DVD-DRIVES, so I will use my original dvd, then.
But you don't have to wait for a NO-DVD-CRACK or something like that, this game has a very strong version of "StarForce 3", there won't be a crack!

I remember the game and the hardcore copy protection. It's available now for very low smile price. Copying isn't worth it. I bet you will never play the game with Copy-CD or Crack. Maybe with USB-Drive Trick. Too much Stress.

Yes, I bought the game just a few weeks ago! It only costs about 19 € since some time (I bought it for that price!). I normally hate playing games where I have to put the CD/DVD in drive, but the solutions for this hard version of "StarForce 3" are also too complicated and stressful for me.
It all has one good thing, I can play on version 1.2!

You can use Patched Version 1.2 also with a mini-image and the right key, but this is illegal in most countries and so you have to use your original.
The (Half) Legal way is to burn a DVD and put it in an external USB connected DVD, and this is the only way to make a backup run, with the newer Starforce Versions.
The only Crack that is out is a V1.0 one.
