Question BF2.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close!

Hi,

I have been playing BF2 fine over the last couple of weeks and the other day I had to a few problems with my pc I got the blue screen of death and had to use to a system restore in order to sort the problem out. Anyway since that day i havnt been able to play BF2 i get an error message reading

"bf2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience"

I have tried to reinstalled bf2 (dvd) and still no joy. Also to top things off i have tried to install and play flatout (dvd) but the same message appears.

Has anyone come across this problem b4 as im struggling to find an answer the only way i can see a solution is by wiping my hard drive and reinstalling windows. Is there an easier way

many thanks

You may have to install the latest display drivers again as if they were not on your system before the restore date then they wont be installed. Something along the lines anyway.
