Do you HAVE to burn the game? HELP

If I wanted to use a backup would I HAVE to burn it to cd's. The backup files dont do anything and I Original Cd's have chew marks all up in them so they arent of any help.

nope, you can leave the image on your harddrive and just mount it, or use a nocd patch. I usually put backup images on dvd and mount them from there. another advantage is you need less desk near your desk

OK! I will believe, your dog don't ate the complete cd, so you have your original cd (in pieces).

Sometimes it is possible to simply copy the files from a cd to a folder on your hd and then install the game from there. But sometimes the setup is checking if its cd or hd, or is checking for the cd label.
So if it don't work off of your hd, burn it to a cd-r.

Normally a game won't check if HD or CD/DVD
Installing games using msi files from harddrive lets the game not check for a label as there ain't none
I think almost every game can be installed form your hd...
