PSX Backups on PS2 without mod chips

I searched and didn't find anything but if I just missed it, feel free to direct me in the right direction

Thing is, we have a PS2 (those flat version ones) and I have PSX backup games. Obviously, because they aren't original, the PS2 refuses to load them (doesn't recognise them as PS games; I figured as much). Now thing is, I'm looking for a way to play the PSX games on it WITHOUT having to install a mod-chip (Since it's not my PS2 and the owner doesn't want one in it) so I'm looking for alternative ways.

On the internet, I saw plenty of ways to play PS2 backups without a chip, but none of those said anything about PS1's. I thought maybe a PS2 freeloader disc (can load imported games) could help, but I don't know if it also works for backups (PS1's too). Or is there another solution I missed?

You say that you have some "backed up psx games", so, if they are backed up you own the original games, just play the original games in the ps2 and they will load perfectly.
