my computer is locked please help
i dont know what happend but i downloaded style xp i went to reboot my computer then it asked for a passwrod like a professional windows password it said my computer is locked how do i unlock it

Maybe boot Windows in Safe Mode by pressing F5 or F8 during booting and then try to uninstall the software or delete the folders

When you put in the wrong password so many times, your PC locks. Just reboot and it will unlock (unless you log onto a domain).

You either mispelled the username or put in the wrong password. XP home and pro both have the same login screens.

StyleXP has an option to change the login screen. Safe mode will boot the same way. You probably checked something in StyleXP. Make sure the welcome screen checkbox is checked.

Besides that, if you have access to another pc, there are various tools on the net, which are able to set back the login password (you need a bootable cd-rom drive).

Alternatively get someone to get you ERD Commander, its a bootable XP OS from CD, which has a change password feature
