Please help me

Ok i have searched the forum and i cant find any detailed info on what to do after i rip the game. ok here is what i have done:
i ripped my first game ### Ver2 all went well i was left with all the extracted info at a size of 831MB.All i was left was track03.iso thats all.i then used winzip to ungzip the extracted info.i then followed a guide from:

it said this:

extract track03.iso

This command extract image file to each file.. Example: Z0mble Rev




Note: Some GD have two data tracks.

In this case, Example: SXXA RALLY2

The terminal window will look like this...

first=3 last=23
track=3 start sector=45150 size=12978
file: track03.iso.gz

track=4 start sector=58128 size=6892
file: track04.raw.gz

SKIP....

track=23 start sector=278862 size=270438
file: track23.iso.gz

Below command combine & extract 2 iso image to each file

extract track03.iso track23.iso 278862

last argument is start sector of 2nd data track image. see terminal.

ok i then opened up a DOS window and typed in:
extract track03.iso
A message came up and said ERROR: track03.iso is not a cabinet file
Fukk
what do i do know,ami fukked have i wasted 20 bucks on my coders cable??
i think that the guide is putting me wrong...... it said [Extract ISO image] hmmmmm have i not alredy done that using winzip??? i think i have,i may be wrong,what the hell do newbies know lol

And if you read the guide it is not clear on the inizialization code part i need to hack it somehow and i am fukked there too as i dont know how,god i need help,first af all i dont know what tools i need secondly i dont know how to use em. i need a better guide once i do that i will have a working backup game. Not so fast..... i may need to do some downsampling if nescesary. Then i should have a backup game that works if anyone can help a newbie that would be great.

Whenever i search the forum and look at the threads i dont get help all i see is u experianced clever people flameing the newbies all u ever say is search the forum. Thats the first FUKKING thing we do. BTW we were all NEWBIE'S at one point so cut us some slack. if you could help me instead of saying how stupid i am that would be great. Any help WILL be APPRECIATED i know its asking alot as i need ALOT of help if you could please take time to help i would be Very Happy. Heres what i want to do:
i want to rip my own games
i want to make them work on my DC, I dont want to make them Selfbootable.
I am Prepared to:
Downsample the games if nescesary
Do any hacking to the info if nescesary
do watever some kind helper tells me to do in relation to DC ripping etc.... Note: i will not go jump off a bridge if u tell me to lol
so can someone take me through the steps step by step nah didnt think so...... o well may as well sell my coders cable, also if you would like to buy it from me please mail me if intersted. Only selling the cable to UK residents *Save me some money on packigeing* The reason for my mis spelt words: i am 16 years of age says it all. i am getting desperate, i need help if i dont get help i simply will never learn how to do it. Taking into consideration i am 16 so i am not just a NEWBIE i am a SUPER NEWBIE lol

if u cant be arsed taking me through the steps step by step, dont worry about it. the least u could do is help me with extracting the iso which i think i have already done using winzip. Also help me with getting rid of the initialization code which is stated in the guide above. All i need is a more NEWBIEfied version of it, i find it too complicated to follow. Basically all i want to know is what do i do to make the game work after i have ripped the info from it?? thats all nothing more no selfbooting crap.i will find out how to downsample myself *brain explodes*

this guide which u use is very good!
not the guide is the problem.
you have a problem whith extract.
so, i first have a vew questions!
1. do you have the extract.exe and the track03.iso in the same directiory??
2. do you use the newest version of extract.exe?(or download it again maybe is corrupt)
3. whitch windows version do you use?

and yes, you must extract the iso, whith winzip you only have extractet the iso, whitch was in an gzip.
but you must have all gamedata whitch is stored in the iso!!

ok i have not got a extract exe i did not get it when i ripped the game. The game was ### ver2

ok i know u dont get an extract exe when u rip the game. so i downloaded one i put it into the same folder as track03.iso and then opened up a DOS window. i then typed extract track03.iso the same message came up ERROR: track03.iso is not a cabinet file.BTW when i ripped ### ver2 all i was left with was track03.iso nothing more.

SUCCESS!!!! FINALLY EXTRACTED THE ISO yay
thanks scorpian255 u were right there was a problem with the extract.exe i had so i downloaded another and it worked yay. Now i have a ton of extracted info that i dont know what to do with lol. all i gotta do now is do some downsampling and some hacking and i am set(please correct me if i am wrong) ok i need to hack some info and i am not sure what to do. i have:
binhack,mkisofs,ipins,cdda2wav,raw2wav,Getmsinfo,c drecord,scanbus and selfboot do i need any of these to make my game work??

I also have all the downsampling tools i need. All i need to know is wat hacking tools i need to make my game work. i read at the guide above that i need to get rid of an initialization code by hacking. Not sure what to do so Please can i have more help. Yay getting closer to making my backup.....

hello,

the first extract.exe u use was one from microsoft, its for cab files whitch on every win cd (the error sys it, error in cabinet file).
good,

downsampling you only need when the game data is too big for an cd-r, if so go to http://www.internetconvoy.com there are some very good guides of downsampling.

if you don´t or after downsamling the files,
you must hack the game.
which hacks for every type of games (wince, winceda, katana, katana whith cdda) you need you find also in above link.

after hacking you must follow exactly echelons sbg!

ok i started downsampling some ADX files. this is what i did:
i opened cinepack went to file/open selected ending. i then went to file menu/convert then clicked on save. i then had a file that when i double clicked on it music would come on.
ok i started up DcMovieCreator selected the ending music, set audio to 22050 hz to Monaurul(l+R) and set Type: Sofdec Audio (sfa). i then clicked on start decoding. thats it i did this with several adx files. i then checked the folder and there was left with 3 .sfa files which i had to put in seperate folders and for example opening.sfa my question is what do i do with these??
do i leave them where they are??
please answer my question

ok i have a question about downsampling:When do i stop downsampling how do i know when i have downsampled enough. the game i am downsampling is ### ver2 it is 831MB and i need to downsample it so it fits onto a an 80min cdr. so far i have downsampled some adx files and was left with 3 .sfa files and for example opening.sfa, easter.sfa, matter.sfa etc also what do i do with these .sfa files??? Any help will be appreciated
