Sacred - missing Demordrey

I am playing the SP campaign and am near the end of ACT 3. I have noticed a few quest bugs but have not encountered one that would stop my progression through the main quest...until now.

I have gone back to Braverock Castle and have the 3 extra people in my party to overthrow demordrey. When I got inside the castle, about 6 of his guards rush me and that's it. The red carpet leads straight to the throne. The arrow points right to the throne. The throne and the room is empty (except for my party). Upstairs is nothing. I have checked all around the throne to find nothing. I think Demordrey is supposed to be there, but I don't see him anywhere.

I have reloaded numerous time from my quicksave. Also a few times from the previous auto-save and still the same thing. Last night I even uninstalled/reinstalled going through the steps listed a few times in this post. After that I put my save folder back in the fresh install and when I went to load the quicksave, I still had the same issue.

Only thing I know I have yet to try is a new campaign. As close as I am to the end of the game, I am hoping someone here has an idea that fixes this issue. I am running the english/international version supposedly 1.8.26 though it says 1.8.146 (or somehting close to that). Any help is appreciated.
