ECC/EDC inconsistency error in DJ??!!

does anyone know how to make copies of cdr's that has ECC/EDC errors in them with DJ?? I've got a copy of Gigawing2 and it works fine, but when I come to make a copy of it using DJ, it constantly reports that theres ECC/EDC inconsistency error everywhere on the disc.
I know I can make a copy of it using clonecd 2.8.4.2 but funny enough, the copy will only work on my Jap machine and not PAL DC's....
any suggestion people???

Had da same trouble with DJ3.

Had Sonic 2 on a cheapo nasty disc and since my other game backups never gave me much aggro, I figured I could back this game up and make further backups of the backup. No such luck.

I don't know what protection system is being used on the copy (if any), but the only way I could copy this game was to make a backup of the FIRST copy I was given, onto the hard-drive. No problem - game works fine, but I had to forget making copies of the resulting burns.

Just a thought, may not exactly answer your problem but may point you in the right direction.

All the best :-)
