Is it normal to get error message "garbage at end of file, decompression ended"

is it normal to get the error message "garbage at end of file, decompression ended" when unzipping the trackxx.raw.gz files?

when u use winzip, yes ! but all data are ok!

If you're using a ZIP program to unpack the .GZ files, do a quick search on the forum for "EXTRACT". I know I read somewhere in the past month or so where someone mentioned that ZIP programs don't work properly, but this other program they named was supposed to be used to extract the files from the .GZ files.

i´ve all times used winzip. i became the same errormassage, but all data are ok and the finisched rips works perfectly.

Thank guys

Thanks for the help. One more question I have, (but im afraid I already know the answer to)...

Is it possible to start a rip from a specified track on the cd? ie I want to start a rip from file track22.raw.gz

my guess is a can't do this...but I'm just hopeing. =]

yes, download from http://www.dccopyworld.com under dcUtilities - Rippingutilities the DCRip [enhanced dcrip.ttl]. read the readme or .nfo file and follow the instructions. (you could jump over every track until you find this one you would rip!!)
