FFIX help

Hi. I have a PS1 and the game FFIX. My disks are scratched so i got an emulator, ripped the cds on to my PC so that i could play the game smoothly. Im having a problem, as the game freezes at one FMV every time. Is there any way to skip an FMV or fix this problem? Its the video about 1/2 through cd1 when they're getting on the airship filled with dark mages. I tried the patch from megagames and it still freezes...any help?

Well if you're willing to play on the Playstation again, opening the disc cover skips the fmv. I spent literally hours trying to get mine to get past an fmv, but a friend told me to do this.
