CDR media probelm?

Hi, I'm new to this board. Anyways, I was always able to burn self-bootable games for my dreamcast. Recently, I downloaded a few self-bootable cdi's that looked interesting. While in the past I was able to burn and play with no probelm, now I can't. My dreamcast won't read the new burns. It starts to read at the DC start-up screen, and it take quite a while before it takes me to the dreamcast menu. I've tried basically everything, and have now come to the conclusion that I may be using the wrong type of CDR media. I'm using Sony 700meg 80min CDRs. Are there any specific types of CDR media you preferable for burning DC games?

I am using Memorex. They are cheap and very good even for my old PSX.

Lightbulb

One of my friends let me borrow that exact memorex cdr, but it's still not working. Maybe the cdi's that I've downloaded are actually not self-bootable. But they wont even work with my boot disc. I use DJ, and I've tried DOA, and TOA, but still nothing. Any other suggestions? I also used CDmage to see if the images were currupt, but they are fine.
