The executable wasn't the only file that the patch updated, but I do not know which fixes in patch #2 were implemented by editing the other files. Most likely, the majority of fixes are in the executable and those will not work with the 1.0 no-dvd executable.

I tried it myself though, and I actually couldn't see ANYTHING different from the unpatched version, when using the 1.0 exe. I bet there's something though :P

So many ppl make that mistake. (crackers etc visit these forums, like you said why would they ? Its not like they can brag or anything as that runs the risk of being caught !
