I see you posted that you have a file called boot.ccd right? That is a clone cd image and all you have to do is get clone cd, pick write from image, then locate the boot.ccd file on your hard drive and load it the write it.

Now for the vcd player follow these steps to burn it correctly.

1) Get Ner version 5.5
2) pick new and then select CD-ROM [ISO], then click the new button on the right hand side
3) then right click in the window with name at the top and select add file.
4) Add add the six files not in the Wince directory
gyp.exe..etc. NO DLL FILES
5) right click again in name, and add a new folder, name it Wince.
6) put the eight dll files in there.
7) pick your .mpg, mgeg files and put them anywhere on the cd it doesn't matter.
8) click the burn button then in the Iso tab select Iso lever 2, mode 1. In character set, select ISO 9660 and ##### in support Joilet file system.
9) burn the cd.

I have this and have burned it successfully several times and know it works,provided that you are trying to play mpg or mpeg files. The VCD player requires the boot disk just swap them out like booting a normal game and have fun.:}

Note : I have not tested every type of video file on there so when you burn the disk make sure "Finalize the disk so no further writing is possible." is un#####ed, that way you can keep adding files at a later time.

That's the same encoder i have right now its the best i can find but you may want to try the windows media encoder found at www.windowsmedia.com i also have had audio troubles too but i corrected them, download a program called virtual dub. you can find the link to it here ####://www.vcdhelper.com/virtualdubaudio.htm anyway load your video file. Then the under the file menu click "save wav" or something like I cant remember exactly what is says, that it will make your audio for the movie in wav format which is beter anyway. Then when you encode with the encoder load the wav file you created thus fixing the audio problem if you have any

cool thanks, ummm i have not had a prob with sound yet(though i have only burned music vids so far)....but today i tryed to burn a movie and it went well, but the movie is so jerking and has colored blocks all over the place, man it is so bad u cannot even watch it.....now why did the music vids encode so well and my movies did not??? most of my movies are in avi format, does this happen to all avi's when converted to mpeg-1....and another question.....will the DC regonize mpeg-2?

Couldn't hurt to try mpeg2 you do know that if you don't finalize the burn you can keep adding files to the cdr at later time, keeps from wasting cdr's but anyway, it just depends on the quality of the file you encoded from (How good it was) Mine don't change much at all when i encode
