Their is a way to play Sacred and Sacred Underworld with a backup CD. The way is annoying but it works for a lot of people.
Make a backup of the original with Alcohol and profile ProtectCD5. Then use this CD and make a backup of this one with profile SecuRom3.1 (first, second and fourth box checked), 1x Speed. When Alc starts to make the image start Sacred. After some time the game starts. Now cancel Alc. Not pretty, not nice, but it worked with a lot of pcs... but i probably use the originals, thats too much effort for just a backup.
