PSP review @ The Register

Good PSP review @ The Register: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/02...view_sony_psp/

Good news that it supports mp3 natively (I thought it would be an ATRAC only device...)

Does anyone know if it supports DivX or XviD?

Sorry about the long delay. I was away.
I uploaded videos with mp3 audio/divx vidoe and mp3/xvid codec, but they are not showing up when I select the video icon on the Home screen.

I didn't see DivX or Xvid when I read the specs. Maybe future updates.

Let's hope Sony makes it possible to add additional codecs but I think that will not be very likely...

Then again it is just a matter of time before someone hacks the thing to whatever you want

You have to format the card to make the folders then you transfer the media via USB. It currently supports only MPEG4 files and you cannot change the file names after conversion.
