Jumpy screen at MI setup
Hi,
I have v7 NTSC US PS2 with Matrix Infinity chip. My TV is NTSC as well. I've noticed that whenever I go to Matrix related screens, I get a jumpy screen. It happened on MI config screen, firmware upgrade screen, and Infinity Manager screens. Did anybody else have a similar experience? Does anybody know the cause of this and how to fix it? I noticed the same bahavior was observed in some backup games, which are NTSC as well. I'm suspecting that they may be related issue. Thanks |

Hi,
I have v7 PS2 with Matrix Infinity chip. I'm connecting it directly to my TV using component cable. I use it in HD mode, which supports pregressive scan mode. When I use that mode, MI related screens as well as some games get jumpy screen. (a lot like playing PAL games on NTSC) Matrix team told me that by turning off the green fix, it should work, but it doesn't. Even if I use component cable, if I use regular video input, it works fine. But, I still would like to be able to use HD mode because colors are a lot better in that mode and I'd like to be able to use pregressive scan for the few games that support it. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks |
