Thanks again for the reply.

Ive got my old Homebrew chip in the xbox and Ive got all 32 wires installed. When I turn the xbox on it flashes red/green with the modchip out of the socket. I double checked all my wires and they are good.

Now if I remove the link wire that goes to pin 32 it boots up originals just fine of course the modchip is still not in the socket. So I guess my question is: what do you think is causing it not to boot with it soldered in? Thanks for any help you guys might be able to give me.Im going to look over the wires again. I know they are right but I will check again to be sure.

This is a friend's xbox so yes I have mine sitting right beside it and it was modded and flashed a couple years ago. Its there a guide somewhere to what you are suggesting me to do with this memory card thingy? Thats all new to me but if you can do this without a modchip, that would be cool. Thanks,
