Works when mounted with D-tools but not when burnt to CD!

I have backed up the game Battlefield 1942. So I have a .mdf and a .mds for each disc. When I mount the image file using Daemon tools it installs fine and plays fine but when I burn it to a CD it wont play (stays on load up pictute thing for ever) and wont install past 7% (It says media not found or something)
I burnt it with Alcohol 120% with these settings:
Write speed: max.
Write method: DAO/SAO <---might be problem?
Enable buffer underrun technology ticked and the rest un ticked
Datatype: customise

I have already waisted 1 CD so wanted to ask on here before I try different settings :S
Please answer people who are familiar with alcohol 120%, thanks

You've proven your image is good. Try burning at the slowest speed at Safedisc settings. Not all burners are equal, some suck at burning images.

@Sam Leach
Battlefield is a Safedisc 2 protected game so you should just choose Safedisc 2/3 as the Datatype not Custom. Like ash2dust2 has already said the image does appear to be good but you may also want to do the read again choosing Safedisc 2/3 as the Datatype and then burn the new image as a Safedisc datatype.

Ok, I was under the impretion that once you have made the image with Alcohol 120% it got rid of what ever protection it had, so the reason I didnt select Safedisc 2/3 was because I thought it had been removed!

Thanks for the advise!

So what does alcohol 120% actualy do to the protection (how does it differ from making an image with Nero)??

Just burn it on the disc as and image instead ie *.mds *mds files and then mount it like you do on the HDD with virutal drive thats works
