This must be a mistranslation, similarly to Germans sometimes saying "I become this or that", mistranslating "Ich bekomme etwas" ("I'd like to have this or that")...

Yes I too took it as a mistranslation but I would not have used the German language as an example.
I will use a very young childs translation of "I have drink?" Whereas they should be saying "May I please have a drink?"
