Music encryption

I have some downloaded files in wma format which I would like to convert and burnin in wav. All the software I have cannot do this, and media player says I need a licence just to play em. any way round this ie software that will play, convert so I can burn them to disc

wma?you can convert them via nero but you gotta have the wma pluggin

Sory to bring this up again,DBpoweramp will not convert it and I still havent found anything that will, help anyone pleeeeeze.

If u read the previous replies I said I'd found it, still doesnt work. There is a prog called unf*ck that does it but not with the latest vers of wmp. Btw how do u do it in Nero incase I got it wrong.

install the pluggin ang open nero.go to
extras->encode files.open wma and export to whatever you like.
weird if it doesn't work.what message does it popup?

Message it pops up is microsofts licence does not allow transcoding of WMA files into any other format. I really am beat on this one.

well, you already said you DOWNLOADED those....
for one, when u do grab the CD, the windows media player assigns them a unique ID that prohibits playing those files on any other computer except your own (at least, i believe it is so), so don't bother grabing the CDs with the media player.....
sure, u can use media player to grab and burn CDs, but only on the computer those WMA files were created.....

in other words, just download MP3 versions of the file (or any other audio format)

this isn't really helpful, but it can be a warning for future music "sharing" ))
also, how come Luci's method doesn't work ?!? weird
