hey.i want to upload some savefiles from the xbox to my pc.i have a crossover cable.my question is:
"i need evox to see my xbox ip right?does te xbox need to be chiped or doesn't matter?my xox isn't chiped can i boot with evox?just to see my ip

Your xbox doesn't have an IP. Evox (and other ftp dashboards) assigns it. Evox doesn't just do that though, your xbox isn't automatically set as an ftp client. You ftp to evox, it sets it up.

You can boot to evox if you use a gamesave exploit. I think the games that have it are mechassult, 007:AUF, and splinter cell. However, if the game doesn't have a copy option in the MS dashboard, then you have to resign the HDD key if you want to use it on another xbox.

so you say i can't?i want all the savegames that are saved in the xbox hdd upload it to my pc and then to another xbox

No, you can do that. However, some games require that you sign them with the HDD key of the xbox you are copying to. Like PSO, DOA, burnout 3, leisure suit larry, etc...

If you want to copy the gamesaves, just do it. If any of the saves say "corrupted" or "failed to load", chances are that you need to resign them. the "save game resigner" can be found on the front page of xbox-saves.com. One of the older news stories.

man i'll ask one more time(cause the xbox isn't mine!!!)it's not chipped ok?if i put the evox cd-rw will it write anything?can it harm the xbox?

so whos is the box, are u renting it or summin or is it stolen/borrowed i wouldnt touch it unless it was my own

Your xbox must be chipped for it to boot. You can't write bios as long as write protect is on and I don't think the unlock HDD option is available in the dash by default. SO no harm should be done.

yea i stole it from a shop

it's my cousins he borrowed it to me and i was playing Lotr third age for 5 hours i don't want to start it from the beginning...same with swat...wel when he comes back he want's to chip it and i'll buy a new one(searching for 1.5 and under)i'll do that then
