Fixes? What For?

Hi All,

I fail to understand something here...

I have bought a DC several days ago in the US (NTSC Version), and I am using it in Europe (using a multisystem TV).

I got with my DC two games, Crazy Taxi 1 and Dino Crisis, both of them running fine.
I've also burnt Tony Hawk 2, Condidential Mission and Virtua Tennis from images, and I have no problems running them on my console.

My question, what are the fixes for? When would I encounter problems then, when I'll try to play a PAL game???

I appologizes if this is a newbie question, but I have to admit that I am a newbie to the DC world.

Thanks before hand,

OM.

A lot of the time the fixes are for JAP games or PAL, that concern with the way they were ripped by Echelon or whoever. Sometimes they remove intros that cause problems or fix save problems. Up until Sonic Adventure 2, I had yet to have single problem with games I burned, yet there were fixes galore. It's always a safe bet to go ahead and get the fix/patch and apply, they usually are not all that big and don't take long to download on any connection. So why burn a frisbee? Read up on the fix/patch before burning.
