it could be that ur dvd rom in ur xbox is wearing out now or cheap media. i had the same problem so to save me from headaches i backed up my game into my xbox hdd and i hadnt had any problems whatsoever. so u should either get better media(if thats case), get a samsung dvd drive, or u can upgrade ur hdd to hold ur backups there....hope this helps
