I changed my burner from the Pioneer A05, to the NEC 3500 becuase it supports dual-layer burning and the reviews I read say its one of the best (plextor included) for quality burns, plus the Pioneer A05 was struggling to burn some media at x4, even though the media was x4 ... strange


May not be the fastest, but I wanted quality over speed, besides I think I can live with waiting an extra 2-3 minutes if it produces better quality and stable DVD's and CD's
