Luciel owning the cd key is illegal? who told you that? i paid for the game as anybody else i bought it on ebay hows that illegal? I OWN THE GAME i OWN THE LICENSE i paid for a game, i just told the guy to destroy the box and the cds and just sent me the cd key

i really dont get why it is illegal? so if u go to a shop buy a game then throw the box and cd to the trash and just take the cd key is that ILLEGAL? first time i hear something so non sense.... what i do with my box is my problem i can play with it as a frisbee if i want or i can break it on 2 parts

i even got a shop that sells cd keys i sell hundreds all unique legit that come from retail box games but ppl dont like to pay shippings because is expensive here

so i really got insulted for what u said.... if there is a person that always tell ppl to buy the game if they like it, thats me

I agree on Luciel opinion that is sound illegal. However I agree also with you Bl1nd that it is legal.

To motivate Luciels opinion why he think that it sounds illegal.

How did you get the CD:s first? Owning the cd-key isn't always enought! You can't realy proof that it is your without the original CD:s.

Why would you tell a guy to destroy hes cd and the cd-box.

I realy think the shop is doing something illegal. Becuase if they only giving the cd-key away, (that at means that they open the package before) they can sell the same cd-key later.

To make it even more legal, next time, ask the publisher for buying CD-keys. However this rairly happen when a serius internet café is buying multiplies cd-keys for there multi-player games.

oh well then i tell ya any software store employee could open the boxes copy the cd key and close them again is the same thing....

anyway why he says it is illegal? i just want a law that says it is, i trust my game provider is a friend he won steal from me and i have bough like 10 cd keys from him even hl2 one that needs to be verified using steam and nobody else can use it... i bought another world of warcraft cd key...

and saying that u need the cds to proof it is your game cmon..., then another guy would say to probe it is yours u need the box....

If you read the EULA it says you may not use the game on any pc unless you the original cds are in your posession, because of this you are braking it, therefor you may not use the game legally, stores may sell cd-keys that is not legal, simple, imagine i own a game, i loose the booklet with the key on the back (as EA games do) and i want to buy just a cd key, thats legal. What you doing IS NOT. Simple as that.
