I just started getting this error on DVD disks. Original and backups are the same. I can get CD games to work though. I have read that a voltage adjustment is not possible with this Ver. and I have read that it is. Which is it????? Would I be better off to just order the laser and forget the adjustment. I live in Ontario Canada, is there someone close by that sells all parts for this Ver. Also is this normal for a system that is 3yrs. old that seen moderate use. I have a HD in this unit as well so if Im at the end of the line for this thing, I'll look for a new one.(not slimeline, not HD compatible at this time!!!)Thanks! |

Sounds like you might need to adjust the laser. DRE is a common prob with ps2's and usually occurs unexpectedly. All you need is a phillips screwdriver and an allen wrench. I had a bookmark of the page but I've lost it. Search google. There are plenty of sites with pics that explain how to fix.
