i need help

hi how ya all doing
well my problem is i am trying to back up my dvds on 2 vhs through my computer
i get the movie to play but when i hit rec the screen starts to go dark and then the sound goes

i dont have a dvd burner
and my dvd player is starting to mess up so i thought i would try and back my dvds up on to vhs ... but i have come to a problem

help anyone ?

This will not work the easy way, cos most DVDs have a Macrovision protection on them, which scrambles the movie when you try to back it up onto video tape.
Anyway, copying to a video tape isn't the best thing to do. The quality of the movie is really bad then.

There are macrivison removers available, but they are rather expensive. More expensive than a dvd writer, but it is up to you.

Maybe you can set your DVD Player Macrovison free, but I don't know if that helps.
