Why is the ps2 damn noisy
hey,
i gotta v10 ps2 all chipped with a matrix infinity and romeo mod but ive noticed theres quite alot of noise coming from the dvd rom drive whilst playing back ups and my hdd loader cd. Meh also is it just me or have ritek dvd-rs are getting real crap recently? i ordered 25 black datawrite G04 Die and most of them failed to burn some strange probs like lil dots and wierd squigly things lol.

PS2's are renowned for being noisy. CD's seem to cause more noise than DVD's

I got a v7 and 2 v10's up and running with infinitys and all have a single sharp click in the laser with a HD installed. It doesnt do this if i remove the HD. I dont know if this is what your talking about or not Sean. I was told this was normal.

Yeah, it's perfectly normal to have a lot of CD noise on any PS2.
