WARNING: Mod chip V12 Laser Issues
Hey guys, this news just came out this week but...
The V12 apparently has an even MORE shoddy laser than v9 and v10 versions of the playstation. There have been a few scattered reports of the lasers burning out on them. Its not known whether this is a result of the increased power needed to read backup media or whether its caused by the chip. The articles I read mentioned the Matrix Infinity, but its probably safe to say that it affects other chips as well. If you are planning to mod your PSTwo, then you might want to hold off till they figure out what is going on.
