transfer ISOs to HD via ethernet

before i go on...yes i did search this topic and found something about FAPLink. The thread was rather old, however, and there was no decisive conclusion as to whether or not networking ISOs was worth a shot. So my question is...is there a more reliable way to transfer ISOs from PC to PS2 HD yet?

Any particular reason why you need to transfer your ISOs from your pc?

sorry didn't realize how shady that sounded. actually, yes though. i have a champions of norrath disc that's minorly scratched. it reads well right now but i don't want to have an unusable disc. since it wont fit onto a normal DVD-R, and HDLoader can't install it correctly, it seems my last choice would be creating an iso and transferring it via ethernet. anyways, i understand why you were questioning my intentions and if u'd rather close this post that's alright with me. thanks

I believe that this is a legitimate question. You should be able to transfer to your HD in your ps2 by creating the iso of the game on your computer and flattening the image so that it is useable on your PS2 HDD with HDLoader. You can transfer to your HDD using WinHIIP, or other FTP programs. I'll let the other guys answer this question since I'm not too familiar with FTPing ISOs to the HDD . However I do believe this question isn't violating any rules, but that's not for me to decide.

If I thought he was really breaking the rules I would have closed the thread by now. Feel free to continue.

I put the HD in the comp and use WinHIIP to transfer the ISO.
never tried the ftp thing yet.. I don't have a chip that supports that kinda stuff.
I think there is a way to do it (even for us that don't have DMS3 or infinity chip) but never tried it nor understood that tutorial I read some time ago.

I believe you don't need to have a specific chip to connect your PS2 to your computer. You need to find the address for your PS2. I'm not entirely sure on how to do this, so I will provide a site which tells you how to do it!

thanks guys...i looked around some more and found a way to get the game down to a size that fits a normal DVD-R...so i think i'll just go with that. networking seems like a real pain, but if it comes down to it i'll give it a shot. thx again
