Dvd +r's use to play fine now they dont...
I have a apple chip 2 on my ps2 for 2 years now and i havent had any problems playing any back ups either cd or dvd+r.
Now all of a sudden my dvd+r's that I hav old and new no longer load like they used too,it takes me about 45 rebbots for the game to finally boot and it makes clicking noises like it wont read the dvd. Now I havent changed the media I still use memorex dvd+r. I did notice that my ports on the bottom of my ps2 the vents that is are full of dust because my ps2 is always on the carpet,so maybe it might be dirty?anyone know what could be the problem? maybe i need to clean my laser? well thanks again... |

Dust is the number 1 killer of PS2's. You should also use better media. Just because the media will load and play doesnt mean its good for PS2 backups. Try some Taiyo Yuden or Ritek G04 dvd-r. I think you'll notice a difference.
