Question Discworld noir, Please help me!! I'm really really STUCK

Hey. I've got a LEGAL copy of Discworld noir. I have XP and its unable to run. I've found the following information, yet I dont quite understand what to do.

CD-Copy Instructions:
Create the following temporary directory:
TempDir#1 : C:\TEMP\CD
Copy the full contents of the original CD to TempDir#1.
Replace the original <TempDir#1>\TIN3_DXD.EXE file with the one from the Patch Archive.
Burn the contents of TempDir#1 to a 74 minutes CD-R using the same CD-

Where do I set the folder up?
How do I burn it, where will the link be? Will I have to Copy and Paste to Nero. Please talk me through it step by step, I would really be thankful.
Thanks

@Lucille-x;
Have you ever tryied to search on google or something to see if there are any windows xp sulutions?
Close Combat 5 - Invation of Normandy, is not Windows XP compatable, but there is an unofficial patch that's help to fix that problem etc etc etc...
