Games go slow mo in big action seens? Is this because it is a burned game?

Hi, I never really paid attention to the GD-ROM games, but I have noticed latley that on Record of lodas war, that it goes in slow mo when alot of action is on the screen. Is this because it is a burned game? Or is there another reason? And if it is because its burned, is there anyway to fix it? Thanks

Problems with skipping /slow/corrupt FMV are normally attributed to burning the disk at a High speed.

Since the data is written in Cdrom XA mode, this format is not as good at error correction and so thats why these errors occur.

In record of Lodoos War its different...
even the original GD has slow mos when many enemys appear... has been critisized in the Reviews as well... but if U like the game (as me, have seen the Movie and LOVE IT!) i also like the game...
so nothing wrong with your copy...but if u have slowmos in the FMVs than it could be because of the CD...(could be a general problem with the CD: cause it has not the same transferrate [MB/s] as a GD...?)

Hi, the DC has a CAV drive (constant angular velocity) this means if the data eg. textures for Crazi Taxi which needs to load in fast is burned on the inside of the disc you will see missing textures cos the DC's GDdrive reads faster on the outside, so if ya brave you could try and re-burn the game and use a dummy file to push the data on the outside of the disc, find the selfboot doc's and have a read. oh, and file order could help out here as well, but you would really need to know what files are the data then make sure there the last files burnt
