Question PS2 Debbuging (TEST) System and PS2 Backups

Hello - does anybody know if it is possible to get DVD and CD backups to work with the PS2 debugging systems? (They look pretty much the same as a standard PS2 except with TEST written on top instead of PS2.)

i have heard rumours about some kind of CD patcher needed to apply to image files after you copy the DVD, but so far ive had no joy with anything i try.

Some games burnt are recognised as PS2 discs in the PS2 browser area but dont get past that, others give the nasty red "insert ps2 disc" sreen.

any help appreciated.
the PS2 is a dtl-h30002 model.

cheers, Bacon

OH MY GOD!!! How did you get one of these! I would love to have one. Anyway if you are talking about DVD Movies from what I understand the Debug models wont play DVD movies at all, they where never intended to do that. But to get your back-ups to boot on it is as simple as applying a patch to the image of the original you create. There is a patching application that makes the disc image a "Master" disc. Then you simply burn it to your black media.

I cant remember the exact name of the app and cant seam to locate it either.

Hi,

I have a dtl-h30002 PS/2

I'm trying to play a DVD film, but I cann't. PS/2 say "the dvd player is not setup"

Do you play dvd films in your dtl-h30002 PS/2? How?

Regards!
