Question Battlefront online /patch?

Does anyone know if the new Star Wars game (backup) needs a patch for online play (dnas or whatever)?

Most likey it will need a dnas patch just as other games do. It has only been out for 3 or 4 days now so it will take a little time before one is developed and released. For now you may want to just play your original. Im sure the patch will be released on the GCW site in a couple weeks or so.

I personally dont care too much for ownz sites and trust them even less but if you want to follow their tutorials on patching an image thats up to you. I recommend waiting for a patch pro from here to develop a working patch so you dont risk being banned from online play. I'm sure you would agree that its not worth the risk.

You could also wait for a more experienced member here with patch experience to help you. I dont use backups online myself. With all of the technology we do know about there is probably 10 fold more that we do not know about. Banned online gaming would suk big time. I use my originals in this regard and backups for all other offline gaming. Hacking is at your own risk. I'm not trying warn you off, its just that I am not the foremost authority on this subject. I do know if you play a backup online you will need it patched to protect your online gaming from making the blacklist and getting banned.
Wish I could help you out more on this subject but patients is all I can recommend for now.

Red face

But if everyones using the same online patch won't that result in a ban? Everyone dl'ing from a website, like a patch for madden 2k5, someone gotta know there are 10,000 of the same ID #'s?

I keep my originals at home, i take all my backups when i travel to my friends and use his ps2 (modded) thats why I ask. I'd hate to lose my originals in luggage.

It makes good sense that the multiple ID's would be easily pecked off.

Good point my friend!

You need higher authority on this subject however. One of the other members with more experience on patching will probably be along shortly. You could also damage your originals in transport which would not be cool either. Im sure if there is a qualified member that can help you in this regard, they will present themself soon enough.

MoBiUs
Step One:
Make the DVD into a image using DVD Decrypter

Step Two:
Burn the Disc ID Utility V0.2A to a CDR(http://www.ps2nfo.com/burning.html) or DVD(just burn the image to a dvd)(get these from here http://www.ps2ownz.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24552)

Step Three:
Put Disc ID CD/DVD in the ps2 once loaded put in the game and tap X twice to get the right number Disc ID(the right number is not 00:00:00:00:00) only note down the Disc ID number

Step Four:
Get WinDIP from http://forums.psxforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=20624

Step Five:
Open WinDIP find where the dvd image is scan the image, enter the Disc ID number and click patch,

Step Six:
Burn and play
