The NT version does not work well with XP. Ive heard of some getting it working but most dont. You need Compuware SoftICE Driver Suite 2.7 or better. Which works well with XP.
Ollydbg is an excellent application level debugger and is great for cracking. Also its a lot easier to use than Softice. I wouldnt say olly is better though just different.
