Exclamation movie to mp3

I have many music videos on my computer that I want to make into mp3s. The movies are mainly mpeg. I have looked for a program but with no success. Could someone please tell me of a program that can do this, preferably free.

I do have VirtualDub that converts to avi however the file sizes are huge! (30mb+).

Any feedback would be helpful.
