Have you tried using CloneCD?

I had the same trouble with my Traxdata writer - tried 2 versions of Nero, 3 versions of Juggler. No luck. However Iv'e just installed a new version of Juggler (v3.00.736) and it's burned Plasma Sword (self-booter) with success!! Obviously I'll have to keep testing..

I can copy self-booters with CloneCD, despite it taking a bit lnger on some self-booters to get to the SEGA screen. What I do is read all the games from my Toshiba CD-ROM and just burn the images using the Traxdata. I don't think the Traxdata can do a full RAW read, hence the reason to use a CD-ROM drive. I'm afraid some writers won't burn self-booters period - they've either got the full RAW write feature of they haven't I'm afraid..

Best of luck with your experiment :-)
