Duox
Anybody got any experience with this chip. How does it compare with the xecuter 2.3b.

just put a duox in a v1.6 and it works great....have no experience with the 2.3lite yet for comparison but for the price the duox is great!!!!

all chips are basically the same. Or have the same result.
The only difference is the flash chip size, or any other features that you could live without (like lcd display, onboard os's) Almost all bios can be split to 256k, the only ones that can't have imbedded files or dll's (there is only 1...that is was a beta. It had built in FTP, which everyone uses software for). x2 has a 1mb flash, the doux probably has a 256. Either case, you will probably be using the same bios for each chip, which more than likely, can be split. The only major difference other than flash size is installation.. No solder, solder, or pin headers (all go to the same points on the mobo)

oh, and another thing.
All bios are compatible with all xbox versions up to 1.5. v1.6 uses a differnt set of bios. There are ways to get the older chips to boot on a 1.6 box, but using a wrong set of bios could mess up the xbox. The doux probably doesn't have a 1.6 set. So if you have a 1.6, either get a v1.6 compatible chip, or reflash a 1.0-1.5 chip with a 1.6 bios before even installing.

duox 2 works from v1-v1.6
it comes with header pin and socket works fine on v1.6 |
