Sonic Adventure 1 ADX2WAV

Hey all. Just got done ripping Sonic Adventure 1 (the first one) and they're in the directories they need to be in, only I can't fit it do a disc. Now I've read MANY methods on down-sampling the ADX files and I just can't find a way to do it.

This is what I've done, and the problems that occure. *NOTE: this is a FULL ISO of the game. There were no errors in the GD-ROM ripping process or extraction of the ISO process. ALL files are there.

I tried to use ADX2WAV. I put ADX2WAV in the directory to see if it works and I dragged an ADX file on the ADX2WAV program. It looks as if a DOS window opened for like a 1/2 second then it disappeared. So I'm like hmm, and try with a different ADX file and it did the same thing. I searched for the ADX file only I added the .WAV extentsion to see if it might have been saved somewhere else by mistake, but it wasn't there. Puzzled.

I've tried MFAudio to convert it, but even that didn't recognize an ADX file enough to convert it. I'm wondering if it even is an ADX file. I right clicked on it, went to properties and it says that it's an ADX file.

I need some help BAD anyone.

SECOND QUICK QUESTION: If I downsize all the video files and it puts the game under 700mb, will I have to convert the ADX video files too or can I just leave them, edit the LBA, then use the selfboot tutorial?

Any and all help would be VERY appreciated! Thanks!!!

Megalexxx is on a distinguished road
You can save about 70 Mb by deleting the " event_adx.afs " (japanese language file). Replace it with a 0 bytes file.
Leave the " event_adx_us.afs " (or something like that) intact!

Hey DJgarf,

Thanks man! That did the job. But where can I get Cinepak from? I can't seem to find it anywhere; I only find codecs. Thanks once more!
