You need to use Diskjuggler 3.0 for making backups of backups. Just extract it of the original disk in .cdi format, then burn it. Have fun.

Good luck to anyonwho can use Disc Juggler successfully. I used to be able to, until I got rid of my Philips 3610 for a Traxdata 8432+ writer.

Disc Juggler is very piccy about what writers you use. The only successful alternative I could find was CloneCD 2.7.8.1. Now I can copy self-booters, but for some very odd reason the DC takes an extra 15-20 seconds to get to the Sega screen; if you encounter this phenomenom don't worry, as after the Sega screen appears all is fine.
CloneCD can also be a bit piccy over which writer you use, but the help file has a nice table listing all the drives that work best and the reasons why.

I use an old Toshiba drive to do all my reading in CloneCD, using RAW mode. I then burn the self-booters at 8x using my Traxdata. To date there has only been a couple of games Iv'e been unable to backup.

Note: Games that don't self were as easy as pie to copy.

Good luck with your quest. :-)

I'm using a Yamaha CRW8824E and I copy all my self booting backups with DiskJuggler3.0. I heard that Plextor, Mitsumi and Sony all work good with the program as well.
