Even if you had an internal chip (I do) u still cannot play back ups, unless u have a bootdisk or a self booting game.

I have many backups of my imported games, so I can't see why a Pal game wouldn't run on a NTSC machine.

Although u may lose some of the game screen at the top and bottom of your TV screen as I know the JAP systems do this with DreamKey, because of the 50/60hZ difference.

Hope I helped

Thanks man.....
That does take some doubts outa my head,
cos I originally thought that you'll lose colour or
get the image distorted when running a pal on a ntsc.
If it's just some lost in the image's edge I can live with that.
Thanks for yar help

With the PSX u need a scart lead and a TV that will display a 60 Hz signal if u r playing JAP and US on a Pal machine.

The Pal Dreamcast seems to display imports dead on just using the RF lead, I use a scart 4 mine.
