Hey can i play ps1 games on my ps2?
i put the cd in and it doesnt work

Nah
Nah i dont have a chip in my ps2 yet.
and do i need something for it to play the ps1 games?

Yes.
you will need a mod chip if you are planning to play ps1 back ups. If you are just gonna play ps2 & ps1 originals only, you should be able to boot them right up with no probs.
