Problem with PS2Reality 1.50

I've been running into a few videos lately, mostly XVids, that skip and stutter with PS2Reality 1.50 - I hate to go over to the PS2Owns forums, they're a bunch of... *ahem* over there.

Any ideas?

Will there be a new version? Or anyone know a workaround?

Also, I can NEVER swap discs. I put in the second disc and it just never refreshes when I hit "refresh". I have an Apple mod on a V4 system. Any ideas?

I heard the best thing to do is to just burn the player on the CD with the files. And doesn't the swap only work if you run the app from a memory card? You can try burning the app on to both discs, that might work.

If its skipping and freezing I would suspect media, I’ve ran into a few DIVX video’s that refuse to play or have no sound even though I use the same Apps, codex and methods for all my videos. Any freezing I’ve ever seen was a media/laser issue.

To load a new TOC from a CD or DVD you need a chip that supports swapping like Apple Pro, Magic V series chips. If your chip don’t swap, it’s easy to add the Player files to a CDR Data burn. On the other hand, making a DVD bootable is one bugger of a tedious task! Sony’s generator software ain’t exactly a “drag drop n’ burn” app. More like “drag you head around the ground and drop dead from an aneurysm” kind of application.

also check the resolution of the xvid you burned if it's above 640 you need to re-encode it to a little lower res. (ofcourse bps matter also)
atleast that's been the fix for quite a few of mine.
