Once the GD is ripped, how to boot it??

Hello, I just ripped the Sonic adv GD to my HDD, and downsample all the adx & afs I can, so that the whole size of the files are under 650 MB. I burn a cd with the same name as the GD (something like sonic_adv) and try to boot it via the utopia DC loader. The loader actually try to boot the game (I see the picture of sonic spinning on a cd) but after that...nothing... So, is it possible to burn a cd and to boot it via utopia DC loader? Have I to selfboot it via the echelon's tutorial? Is there something else?
Thanks to you if you read it, and if you can, help me ;-)

Thanks for your help, Xena...
I'm surely dumb, but I don't find such a string in my bin files. I try to open these files with Hexworkshop // find==> nothing... With W32dasm // Find Text String ==> Nothing... With Ultraedit // Find in Files ==> nothing... Could you please tell with which software you open those files??
A last things... I try to take a deeper look at your site... Very full of knowledge, i like that very much... Did you have on you site a kind of guide wich explain, for instance, why do I have to chage the XXXX string to A600, why should I burn it to ISO 9660 mode 1 nd so on...
I mean, I'have a good base in reversing, I think (in fact I thought that before beeing unable to find your string in my files ;-) . I was spending hour on the +Fravia's site about reverse engeneering, and I just would like to understand what I do, not just following what's is written in a tutorial. In fact I prefer understand how to reverse a protection schem rather than just applying a patch on a file...

Anyway Thanks for your help,
