MGS2 substance isn't really dvd-9 (pc)

this is how i copied it with nothing ripped , well only the duplicate files in the dvd rom. Now the copy protection is just dvd check so just rename the dvd as same label. First of all copy all the content to ur hd then delete the cdrom.img these r the duplicate files. You can even test the game installation with full 7.4 option and it will install fine.....try and tell me allow those 7 cd conversion when u can copy it to dvd.

Good info, magic... if only you posted that a few months ago, could have saved some people around here some hassle.

True, lots of impatient people on here. I wonder why

Also, lets not forget that not many people had access to DVD Burners back then. A lot of people still dont.

OFF TOPIC
Well it all depands on money. In Sweden 1 dvd-r disc could cost up to 4.5 £ or 7$ (about 60 swedish kronor). Depands on what retail store you buy the things and if you by quintity. think 5 disc coast about 200-300 swedish kronor. about 45£ or 35$.
Who have that kind of money to spend on a backup disc game? Bether store it in the harddriver. Buy a 200GB for less than 150$ and you can save up to 40-50 DVD disc (4.7 GB per disc).

And 40X4.5£ is about many pounds...

Note:
I issumed 1£ = 15 Swe KR, 1$ = 7.5 Swe KR. Do the math your self.
DVD Disc can be dubbel layed and than store up to 9.4 (or more) GB.
Sweden have highed taxed for blank CD or DVD. Scense 1 April 2004. That's mean that blank disced can be even expensiver.
I don't include Internet Retail Store.

So do you think it's cheap to burn it in to DVD in Sweden?

CD-R coast about 7-10 Swe KR (depands if you buy 10th pack or single and what retail store). About1$ and 0.5 £.

And I know it much cheaper on the internet... .but this is a price example....

hehe i know the prices up there
Even worse with alcohol. Heard about 15 Euro for one bottle of beer!

I've seen several 'major' CDFreaks members ordering CD/DVD media from e.g. Germany because even with international shipping costs they still pay less as in local shops

Nah, swedish beer isn't any good anyway. I heard the reason is to cut down on rampaging alcoholism over there, 'cause all you can do in the long winter nights is getting drunk. Or maybe hang out on fileforums, right Krondike ?

Now let's get back to the topic before this thread mysteriously gets transported to the Offtopic forum

Well wat i do, i use a 160gb hdd for os and all programs and blah blah and then a 120 gb to store game images, and just load em with alcohol, since theres no system files or anythong on it, theres provably less posibilities of going wrong than a cd or dvd
