duo mod install

just finished my 1st ps2 solder mod. had the no solder in for a coupla years, and did my ps1 way back when, but damn, i was feelin iffy when i fired it up.

but to my suprise, it worked flawlessly.

i think if i was to do it again, i would get a much smaller tip for my soldering iron, and one of those lighted magnifing lamps.

but the desoldering braid saved me on several occasions.

why am i telling you all this? no idea.

Im glad to hear everything went ok with your install. Please let us know your opinion on having it rather than your no solder mod.

i can already tell you the difference. night and day.

the no solder worked fine, but i think my game shark was starting to act up, was preventing me from playing.

i assume you can get much finer tips for soldering irons, i found that to be my biggest obstacle, the point just didnt have enough precision.

didnt know if you guys might think about adding that to the list of parts to get, i think it would have gone quicker had i had one.
