Help with Legal Action from Sony

I am on the receiving end of a heavy legal action by the Sony empire in which they have accused me of everything under the sun.

There is one very important - even vital - point in the case on which they have refused to provide my lawyers with information - even though they easily could if they wished - and it concerns the text of the copyright licence / warnings that are printed on the outside of the PlayStation 2 games package. (It is the outer package we are principally interested in - not the instruction book). This wording differs from area to area and, we suspect (but at the moment cannot prove), from country to country.

We know that, in the UK, the wording is "FOR HOME USE ONLY".

In USA, the relevant wording is "Licensed for play on PlayStation 2 computer entertainment systems with the NTSC/U-C designation only"

In Japan, the wording is "FOR SALE AND CONSUMER USE IN JAPAN ONLY" (but since I can't read Japanese, I am not sure what else it may (or may not) say about the hardware it may/must be played on.

We are interested in getting as large a sample as possible but particularly interested in the wording on games marketed in

1. Hong Kong;
2. Australia & New Zealand;
3. South America
4. Non EU countries in Europe.

If anyone out there would like to scan and send me a picture file of the label of a genuine PlayStation 2 game with (and this is important) details of where and when it was bought, they would be doing me a big favour. If you can give me the English translation as well, that would be better still.

To save swamping my mailbox with JPGs, would you kindly just email me to charlie_ps2**********com stating which country you are from and if you can oblige. I'll reply in every case and ask two from each of the above cases (if I'm lucky enough to find them) to send me their JPGs.

What I cant understand, Charlie. Is that if its that serious then why dont you just special order a couple of the video games from the other countries that you need them from?


And btw Im sure I wont get a responce for this question. Just as long as you see it, is fine I guess.
