DVDs play in Media Player, but no sound
Not sure if this is the right forum, but here's the problem. I've just installed Windows XP, and at first Media Player wouldn't play my DVDs (said no DVD decoder installed). Since installing AnyDVD (thanks to a tip in the DVD Backup Forum), it will play DVDs, but bit jerky and no sound. What do I need to do? I've got ffdshow which solved the sound problem when I had W98SE, but doesn't work with WXP. Do I still need a DVD decoder, if so how do I get one?
Thanks Peter |

if you built your pc yourself u may not have the analouge audio line round the right way
open up the pcd and try taking out the little cable thats plugged into the back of your DVD-rom and put it in the other way round. also check that it is pluggd in to the correct place on your motherboard. cheers |
